On January 6 (local time in the US), Doosan held a panel discussion at its CES 2022 booth, unveiling its collaboration process with Microsoft and SAP for the 'Delightful Digital Workplace™'. This initiative integrates Microsoft's collaboration platform Teams with SAP SuccessFactors to support employees in responding agilely to work changes and improving engagement. It's also an area that Doosan Digital Innovation is pursuing as an external business in partnership with Microsoft and SAP.
The panel discussion included Robert Oh, Vice President of Doosan Corporation, Mala Anand, Corporate Vice President of Customer Experience and Success at Microsoft, and Jill Popelka, President of SAP SuccessFactors. The discussion was pre-recorded.
Doosan explained that it created the Delightful Digital Workplace™ for a smart work environment in response to the normalization of remote work due to COVID-19. The panel discussion detailed the cases and processes involved. They also introduced how each company responds to changing business environments and discussed the global collaboration process between Doosan, Microsoft, and SAP, as well as future strategies and plans.
Robert Oh, Vice President, said, "Doosan is creating a digital-centric (Doosan Digital Lean™) work environment to respond quickly to external changes." He added, "Our goal, together with SAP and Microsoft, is not simply to provide programs for performing tasks, but to modernize employees' work methods and create an environment where they can experience this." He further stated, "Doosan is improving its internal work environment through continuous performance management via the Delightful Digital Workplace™, and based on this experience, we will strive to apply it to improve employee experiences in other companies as part of Doosan Digital Innovation's external business."
Jill Popelka, President of SAP SuccessFactors, said, "To respond to global work environment changes such as hybrid work environments, internal culture must change. Employees need easy and intuitive ways to collaborate, share feedback, and access information. The Delightful Digital Workplace™ shows that technology can play a crucial role in driving more human-centric work practices and building a more flexible workforce. Furthermore, it will help provide more personalized experiences to increase employee productivity and satisfaction and foster a culture of providing feedback."
Mala Anand, Corporate Vice President of Customer Experience and Success at Microsoft, said, "While hybrid work has enabled new dimensions of experience both in traditional work environments and at home, it requires improving employee experience across the organization. Microsoft supports enhancing employee collaboration and productivity through collaboration and experience platforms such as Teams and Viva. Through long-standing trust-based cooperation, Microsoft and SAP are playing important roles in enabling Doosan's 'Delightful Digital Workspace™' to create a high level of employee experience by providing innovation and insights."
Doosan plans to conduct a pilot project for continuous performance management features within the first quarter of 2022 and further improve usability and experience through API development and integration. The pre-recorded panel discussion can be viewed again on YouTube Doosan Pictures (link)
