The two companies discussed cases of introducing AI technology to Doosan Group affiliates, mentioning Doosan Enerbility's 'AI Prediction of Molten Steel Production in Electric Arc Furnace' project and the 'Generative AI Introduction for Encyclopedia' project for Doopedia, an internet encyclopedia operated by Doosan.
The encyclopedia generative AI introduction project quickly implements content that even elementary school students can easily understand, dramatically reducing the content production time that previously took 1-2 days. The AI project for molten steel production in electric arc furnaces is a representative global success case that built an AI prediction model to minimize the difference between expected and actual production in the process of producing various and complex steel products, securing high prediction accuracy, thereby reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
The two companies then agreed to continue cooperation in Doosan Group's digital transformation and the spread of data-based culture through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Florian Douetteau, CEO of Dataiku, said, "Doosan and Dataiku are actively collaborating to enable companies and organizations to quickly apply AI," adding, "We plan to actively collaborate with DDI to quickly introduce AI across the Doosan Group in the future."
Vice President Robert Oh said, "This panel discussion is significant in that it provided insights to check the direction of AI introduction and pre-considerations in manufacturing sites," adding, "As AI is becoming an element for corporate innovation and sustainable management, we ask for your keen interest."
Meanwhile, Doosan Enerbility's AI Prediction of Molten Steel Production in Electric Arc Furnace project was selected as the best company in the 'Manufacturing AI' category of the 'Dataiku Frontrunner Awards' chosen by Dataiku, a global leader in AI and machine learning, in September. In October, it was also selected as the best company in the domestic 'Future of Intelligence' category at the 'IDC Future Enterprise Awards' ceremony. Additionally, in December, it was selected as the Champion in the 'Digital Engineering Project/Program of the Year' category at the 'Digital Engineering Awards' ceremony
