Robert Oh, Vice President and Head of Corporate Digital (HoD) at Doosan, introduced key trends and importance related to digital transformation (DT) such as AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, and presented application cases within Doosan Group affiliates including Doosan Enerbility, Doosan Bobcat, and Doosan Robotics, as well as Doosan Group's future DT journey.

Vice President Oh said, "Doosan Group plans to create and continuously expand a DT-based work environment so that employees can perform their work more efficiently using digital technology," adding, "As AI is being applied across industries, the strategic need for cybersecurity is also increasing, so we will build a global partnership ecosystem for creating a successful DT environment."

On the same day, a panel discussion was held between Vice President Robert Oh and Mike Flannagan, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Global Customer Success. The two companies focused on the 'Cocktail Manufacturing Collaborative Robot Solution' project jointly developed with Doosan Robotics based on 'Azure OpenAI Service'.

This solution is an innovative solution that uses 'Vision technology' to recognize emotions from a person's facial expressions, then recommends a cocktail that matches the emotion, finds the optimal manufacturing method with generative AI, and has a 'collaborative robot' manufacture the cocktail.

Through their strategic partnership, DDI and Microsoft plan to continue global cooperation to strengthen AI capabilities, such as developing technology to code collaborative robot actions with voice and developing their own object detection technology.

Mike Flannagan, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Global Customer Success, said, "AI will help all organizations and people around the world achieve more," adding, "We will continue to collaborate with Doosan to contribute to individuals and organizations enjoying AI technology."

Vice President Oh said, "We will accelerate DT innovation with new technologies such as AI, data analysis, and next-generation security to enable Doosan Group, the oldest company in Korea, to draw a sustainable future," adding, "To this end, we will continue to collaborate with various global partners."

Meanwhile, CES is a large-scale global electronics exhibition hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) from January 9 to 12 (local time).
