2023.11.09

Doosan Digital Innovation (CEO Justin Park, DDI) has formed a partnership with global xIoT cybersecurity specialist Phosphorus Cybersecurity (CEO Chris Rouland, hereinafter Phosphorus) to supply comprehensive global cybersecurity solutions to domestic companies, including the extended Internet of Things (xIoT) domain.

Headquartered in Nashville, USA, Phosphorus provides a software-based cyber-physical system security platform. It has gained recognition for its unique technology in the xIoT security solution market by analyzing and improving security vulnerabilities in real-time, such as xIoT devices, vulnerable firmware, expired certificate passwords, and insecure configurations. Last year, it was named one of 50 promising startups by the US IT media outlet 'The Information'.

This partnership is part of the Lighthouse strategy to expand the know-how built and operated in global Doosan Group companies into external business. Following the partnership with Cybereason for IT security in 2021, DDI expanded its domain to OT security by partnering with global OT security specialist Claroty in September this year. With this Phosphorus partnership, DDI plans to build a global ecosystem encompassing the xIoT domain and provide a secure cyber security environment to various customers in Korea.

Chris Rouland, CEO of Phosphorus, said, "Through the partnership with Doosan Digital Innovation, we will provide Korean customers with superior xIoT real-time visibility and intrusion prevention capabilities," adding, "As cyber-physical system vulnerabilities are rapidly increasing and attackers' techniques for exploiting these devices are becoming more sophisticated, companies need to prepare quickly."

Robert Oh, Head of Digital at Doosan Group (HoD) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DDI, said, "With the partnership with Claroty in September, we expanded DDI's external business domain from IT security to OT security, and this xIoT partnership with Phosphorus will be an opportunity to further strengthen our robust global cybersecurity ecosystem." He added, "Security has recently emerged as a major issue for Korean customers in traditionally strong manufacturing countries," and "We will continue to lead sustainable digital transformation and innovation of domestic companies with Doosan's next-generation global cybersecurity construction experience and operational know-how."
