Doosan Digital Innovation (DDI) announced on the 15th that it has formed a strategic partnership with Claroty, an operational technology (OT) company.

Claroty, an Israeli company backed by SoftBank, protects all cyber-physical systems (CPS) across the extended Internet of Things (XIoT) in industrial, commercial, and healthcare environments.

Through this partnership, the security solution that DDI will supply domestically from Claroty supports three essential aspects of OT security: ▲Visualization of security vulnerabilities (CVEs) customized to the customer's OT assets ▲Remote management and control that meets all OT security standard guidelines ▲Intuitive alert monitoring based on the Purdue Model, which structures the network into 6 levels, and Zone/Conduit distinctions.

With this partnership, DDI can now provide OT security solutions to external customers alongside existing information technology (IT) security. The plan is to actively enter the OT security business for various industries in Korea through Claroty's OT security know-how applied to Doosan.

Yaniv Vardi, CEO of Claroty, said, "As Korean industrial manufacturers are driving operational efficiency and business growth through digital transformation and cloud, there is an urgent need for OT security solutions and services that can support all stages."

He added, "Through the partnership with DDI, we are collaborating to improve industrial cybersecurity on a global scale, protecting not only domestic manufacturing plants but also overseas production bases of Doosan affiliates."

Robert Oh, Head of Digital at Doosan Group and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DDI, emphasized, "Doosan is building a safe business environment not only through IT security but also through preemptive adoption of OT security for various manufacturing-based facilities within its affiliates. We will further solidify our IT security business through partnership with Cybereason, and by partnering with Claroty for OT security, we will create a robust security environment that doesn't miss even the connection points between the two security domains."
