Doosan Digital Innovation (DDI) Head of Digital (HoD) held the 'AI Strategy Seminar 2023' on the 7th, together with Dataiku, a global leader in enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning and data platforms.
Dataiku is an Everyday AI platform for machine learning projects that efficiently preprocesses data, visualizes, performs statistics and other data analysis, and configures all processes as GUI-based workflows to quickly and easily generate prototypes and deploy prediction models to operational environments in real-time. It supports successful data management for various global clients in different industries, including domestic giants like Samsung and SK, as well as GE and L'Oreal.
About 50 people attended the event, including DDI President Justin Park, executives and practitioners from Doosan Group affiliates and other major industries in charge of AI work.
HoD is an organization that oversees Doosan Group's digital transformation and establishes and executes sustainable strategies for it. Based on the experience accumulated within the group, it leads the improvement of the group's digital competitiveness and business growth by promoting external business through DDI.
This event was organized to introduce AI trends in manufacturing, cases of manufacturing innovation using AI technology, ways to accelerate digital transformation, and to share MLOps strategies and insights through strategic partnership with Dataiku.
The first speaker,Kim Su-yeon, Managing Director of EY Consulting, presented on 'AI trends based on manufacturing and the importance of AI management and operation systems'. Kwon So-young, Head of AI Strategy at HoD, shared insights on 'First steps of AI models for long-term business value creation'. Choi Nam-soo, Managing Director of Doosan Enerbility, introduced the 'Molten Steel Volume Prediction Project in Electric Furnace' as a success case of AI and MLOps introduced at Doosan Enerbility.
Following this, William Hong, Vice President of Dataiku, presented 'Successful cases of AI and MLOps adoption by manufacturing-based companies', and the event concluded with closing remarks by Robert Oh, Vice President of HoD and COO of DDI.
Meanwhile, Vice President Robert Oh said, "Through this seminar, we aim to share Doosan's AI strategic direction and success cases, and contribute to the digital innovation of the manufacturing industry." He added, "In the future, HoD will achieve rapid and meaningful AI performance through co-innovation with global companies."
