Doosan Digital Innovation (DDI) Head of Corporate Digital (HoD) held a lecture on May 29 at Doosan Tower in Bundang, Gyeonggi-do, inviting Professor Thaís S. Teixeira, author of 'Decoupling'.

The event was attended by DT and IT executives, team leaders, and practitioners from global Doosan Group affiliates both online and offline. Thaís S. Teixeira, a former professor at Harvard Business School and currently a professor at the University of California, San Diego, is the author of 'Decoupling', a management strategy book in the field of digital marketing strategy and e-commerce. He has published research papers on discovering new business opportunities for companies in major economic media such as Harvard Business Review (HBR) and The New York Times, and currently provides management consulting for global companies like YouTube, Microsoft, BMW, as well as startups.

HoD organized this event to internalize customer-centric thinking across the group and emphasize the importance of digital innovation and platform business.

Professor Thaís S. Teixeira gave a lecture on the theme of 'Decoupling, Digital Transformation, and Customer-Centric Innovation'. He said, "Companies that have succeeded in the digital age, such as Uber and Airbnb, commonly focused on customer-centric thinking rather than technological innovation or business models," adding, "This trend is expected to continue, and organizations should establish new strategies to change the flow of the business ecosystem through customer-led innovative business models."

Robert Oh, Doosan HoD (Head of Corporate Digital) and DDI Vice President, said, "This lecture was in line with Doosan's strategy of continuously pursuing digital innovation, and I expect it will be particularly helpful in reminding us about establishing customer-centric management strategies," adding, "I hope this lecture has been an opportunity for employees to expand their digital capabilities, strengthen customer-centric thinking, and gain insights into next-generation business innovation."
