Robert Oh, Vice President of DDI, and Mohammad Ali, Senior Vice President of IBM Consulting, share insights during a panel discussion.

Doosan Digital Innovation (DDI) shared future strategies for quantum computing and cybersecurity at the IBM annual technology conference 'IBM Think 2024' held in Boston, USA from May 20-23.

DDI participated in panel discussions to share Doosan's future strategies and directions related to quantum computing and cybersecurity.

Robert Oh, Doosan HoD and DDI Vice President, introduced cases of efforts to internalize quantum computing technology and enhance capabilities, including △projects to nurture quantum computing specialists within the group △workshops for software engineer employees △collaboration with universities and quantum specialist companies.

Quantum computing is a technology that can process vast amounts of information at high speed based on quantum superposition, quantum interference, and quantum mechanics. It contributes to performance improvements in encryption, security, AI, and machine learning.

Recently, there has been an increasing number of cases where global companies are introducing quantum computing technology for new material development and product performance improvement.

Vice President Oh participated in a panel discussion on the theme of 'Maximizing Cybersecurity Work and Capabilities Using AI', sharing insights with Mohammad Ali, Senior Vice President of IBM Consulting.

Responding to a question about Doosan's integrated cybersecurity management plan for its operations in over 40 countries, Oh said, "We are operating a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) with IBM, through which we can grasp the security status of Doosan affiliates worldwide at a glance and establish systematic security strategies."

He also mentioned the positive impact of generative AI on cybersecurity. He introduced cases where Doosan strengthened cybersecurity and increased work productivity by applying AI to its business, such as 'Doosan AI Chat'.

Oh said, "Doosan will focus on strengthening internal and external capabilities to create practical business value using generative AI and quantum computing."
